DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Vatican City, created in 1929, is the world’s smallest sovereign state.  Lying on the far side of the Tiber River at the north western corner of Rome’s historical center, it’s the capital of the Roman Catholic Faith.
Throughout the centuries, various Popes collected classical sculptures or commissioned works like frescoes, statues & paintings by the foremost contemporary artists. The result is the immense collection of the Vatican Museums: one of the most important in the world.

You’ll have the opportunity to see some of these masterpieces & frescoes which are displayed in palaces built for several Renaissance popes.
Afterward, you can visit St. Peter’s Basilica, the world’s most important & largest church and burial site of Saint Peter, one of Jesus’ 12 disciples.
