Toledo was declared a World heritage site by UNESCO in 1986 for its extensive cultural and monumental heritage as one of the former capitals of the Spanish Empire and place of coexistence of Christian, Jewish and Muslim cultures.
 
The Royal Palace of Aranjuez is a residence of the king of Spain dating back to the 16th century and World Heritage of the Unesco.

In the afternoon enjoy the visit of the beautiful Aranjuez Palace, richly decorated with tapistries and porcelains and especially famous for its incredible gardens. Don't miss the "Jardín de la Isla", a man-made island bounded by the River Tagus and Canal and the Jardín del Principe, containing a miniature palace (the Casa del Labrador, built for Charles IV) and the Museo de las Falúas Reales, housing the most important extant collection of Spain's royal pleasure barges.
